Poems
Out of tune
Ping ting ping ting ping ting tick
The sound of tuning
The dryness of winter
Made two hammers pop
First the one
then the other
Dead
“Mommm, the keys have given up”
Darn …
It’s true
Two cripple notes
Between all the others
Ping ting ping ting ping ting tick
The tuner slurps
His coffee
Asks for “two bowls of water”
“Thirsty, ma’am”
“Your piano is thirsty”
Ping ting ping ting ping ting tick
“A Perrier, sir?”
“No, coffee please
Just like the one before”
