Novel De ontmoeting
(The Encounter) tells the story of Bieke, a
38-year-old wife and mother who goes in search
of her teenage love. She gets entangled between
past and present and can no longer separate fact
from fiction. Her search is confusing, painful
and embarrassing, but also revealing and
touching. On the one hand, Bieke’s husband and
children join in on the developments that she
personally experiences. But, on the other hand,
her family’s future hangs in the balance.
